The breath-taking coastline at Rampanalgas, North Trinidad

Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful twin island Republic. These two isles lie side by side in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The islands of Trinidad and Tobago were once part of the South American Continent. Thus, they both abound in thriving species of flora and fauna. Both isles are filled with colourful, beautiful, breathtaking plant and animal life that are the main attractions to tourists. They help make us proud to say that we belong to these isles that are so like a paradise. Majestic waterfalls lie situated clandestinely among our exuberant rain forests. Trinidad and Tobago is the home to some very unique natural attractions which we chose to showcase in this website. These natural wonders range from the celestial waters that grace our shores to the mysterious caves that beckon to any brave-hearted explorer who dares to unravel its secrets. These natural wonders lay interspersed amongst magnificent, man-made establishments of architectural design comparable to many great wonders of the world. (At least in our eyes). Tobago also has the oldest Forest Reserve in the Western Hemisphere, The Tobago Main Ridge. Blessed with many picturesque waterfalls and breathtaking beaches, Trinidad and Tobago are two isles that are a treasure chest of jewels. Let’s showcase our splendor!

The following poem was created by a member of the CyberFair team, primarily for the purpose of its use on this website. We hope that you enjoy it and that it inspires you to visit these attractions and see them for yourself.

The breath-taking journey down the islands,

The mysterious creatures secreted in the caves, upon the highlands,

The magnificent Scarlet Ibis in the Caroni Swamp,

Outshines its own picture on a T & T stamp

Traverse the jungles and savannahs across all ranges

Let’s meet creatures both funny and strange

Come with me my friend,

Let’s sail across our rivers on a journey that never ends.

Do not forget Little Tobago

And the famous Buccoo Reef,

Visited by Prince Charles an his

entourage

Pigeon Point is not too far away

Or if you prefer, there’s Englishman’s Bay

The locals are quite nice

As they sell you their indigenous craft

And direct you to the Graft(on Beach)

Of volcanoes, we are not short,

The Devil’s Woodyard offers no retort

To the mighty Piparo

Of whom talk is widespread

Houses covered in muddy dread.

Museums tie it all up,

Gathering of artifacts from our natural store

For those who are afraid of our great outdoor,

I hope this poem inspires you to take a tour

Let’s embrace our treasured land.

Of which I’m sure God hath lend his hand.
