SUMMARY:International Literacy Day
DESCRIPTION:Since 1967\, International Literacy Day (ILD) celebrations have taken place annually around the world to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights\, and to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. \nRapidly changing global context took a new meaning over the past years\, hampering the literacy progress and widening inequalities across world regions\, countries\, and populations.  In low- and middle-income countries\, the share of 10-year-old children who could not read and understand a simple text with comprehension has increased from 57 per cent in 2019 to an estimated 70 per cent in 2022. \nIn this context\, this year’s International Literacy Day will be celebrated worldwide under the theme\, ‘Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies’.  Read More>> \n

SUMMARY:EXTENDED REGISTRATION DEADLINE IEAT: I LEARN\, I GROW\, I EAT
DESCRIPTION:EXTENDED REGISTRATION DEADLINE IEAT: I LEARN\, I GROW\, I EAT sponsored by @nutrienltd\n\n\nFor more information and competition details visit>> https://www.moe.gov.tt/ieat-i-learn-i-grow-i-eat/\n\n\n Food security means having\, at all times\, both physical and economic access to sufficient food to meet dietary needs for a productive and healthy life. Food security continues to be a global issue and Trinidad and Tobago is not immune to the myriad of challenges associated with becoming a food-secured nation. At the primary school level\, the use of school gardens to promote cross-curricular integration provides students with opportunities to explore food production in a more hands-on way\, making the experience a more meaningful one for all involved.\n\n\nPrizes were made possible by the generous sponsorship by Nutrien Trinidad and Tobago Limited.\n#Nutrien Feeding the Future.
